Family and Dog Photo Session in London Borough of Bromley
I recently photographed a newborn baby and her family in High Elms Country Park in Bromley, London. The baby’s mum got in touch about a year ago to enquire about a dog photo session. Due to scheduling difficulties that photoshoot never took place, but a year later the family welcomed a new member and wanted to document this special time with a set of family portraits.
Natural Style Newborn Photo Session in a London Park
We arrived at High Elms Country Park and were greeted by fairly good weather; mainly overcast with periods of sunshine. Contrary to popular belief, overcast days work really well for photography as the cloud cover provides even lighting for the subjects without harsh shadows and glaring light. Overcast days are also better for newborns as parents don’t need to worry about exposing their child’s delicate skin to sunlight.
The baby was a few weeks old and coming out of the sleepy stage. She was able to stay awake for longer periods of time which allowed me some time to photograph her interacting with her parents and observing the world around her.
However, after such a busy morning looking, exploring and posing it all got a little too much and sleep suddenly took over. This is the time where everyone can relax a bit, and I can focus on tcapturing quiet moments and details. I hope you enjoy looking at these sleepy photos as much as I enjoyed taking them, my heart was full and bursting with how cute this newborn baby was.
Outdoor Dog Photography
A family & dog photoshoot can’t go by without a few featured shots of the family’s beloved canine companion. This little cockapoo lady called Cindy was particularly fun to photograph. She was full of energy, up for doing tricks and chasing her ball - perfect for action shots! One of my favourites from this session was of Cindy leaping high into the air, ears and tail up! I feel I really captured her personality, just happy to be there. The photo really covays that sense of joy, it makes me want to go out and run around on a grassy field!
Dog Portrait Photography
Portraits of Cindy were more of a challenge - sitting wasn’t quite her thing but we somehow managed to get her still for a few seconds, just enough for me to capture a few frames including this one amongst English lavender in full bloom.

Putney Wedding Photographer | Stylish Winter Wedding at Thames Rowing Club
I had the privilege of photographing a gorgeous winter wedding at Thames Rowing Club in Putney, South West London.
Wedding Photography in Putney
The wedding day began with bridal preparations in Putney. The atmosphere at the bride and groom’s house was relaxed and joyous, with close family members chatting, sipping champagne and enjoying each other’s company.
The groom, the best man and other friends got ready at the nearby Jolly Gardener’s pub and were having a drink while bridal preparations were happening at home.
It was a lovely winter day - dry, sunny and crisp, Putney buzzing with weekend hustle and bustle. We moved from the pub and walked a short distance to the gorgeous St Mary’s Church which was beautifully decorated - Christmas tree, candles and all - just in time for Christmas.
After the service, we took group shots at the church and moved to the nearby Thames Rowing Club for the wedding reception. This beautiful Victorian wedding venue is situated on the Embankment in Putney, overlooking the River Thames and Bishops Park beyond. It was the perfect venue for this winter wedding, which had everything - style, tradition, heart and most importantly lots of love.
My clients have asked for their privacy and the privacy of their guests to be respected, so unfortunately I haven’t got those heart warming, tear inducing and laughing out loud photos to disply, but they have very kindly aggreed for me to use several photos from the bridal preparations and the wedding reception venue. Work doesn’t get much better than this! Photographing an adorable 6 month old cavapoo puppy, on a warm spring sunny day, in London’s Peckham Rye Park. I was in heaven! As a London dog photographer, sessions like these are exactly why I love what I do - meeting great people, spending time with adorable puppies, visiting beautiful London parks. This couple and their puppy made the session such a pleasure, and Peckham Rye Park provided the perfect natural backdrop for a couple and puppy photo session filled with warmth and connection.

Peckham Rye Park Puppy and Couple Photo Session
After chatting about possible locations, we settled on Peckham Rye Park, a beautiful and diverse park in East Dulwich in London. It offers an amazing variety of backdrops in one place, from formal gardens, to open spaces, intimate nooks and even a small japanese garden - perfect for pet photography! This makes Peckahm Rye park the perfect place for puppy photography, dog photography, couple and puppy photography and family photography. The variety allows for a relaxed walk-and-shoot approach, keeping the session fun and natural rather than posed or rushed. I worked in this park many times, and it always surprises me with new wonderful places.
London Puppy Photography
The puppy was only 6 months old at the time of the photoshoot and still very much a puppy - playful, curious, and easily distracted (in the best way!). For puppies and young dogs, I usually recommend a 1h dog photo session. Puppies’ attention spans and physical endurance are limited, so shorter sessions tend to work best. I work at a quicker pace, limit the number of setups, and focus on capturing genuine moments rather than forcing too much variety. For a one-hour puppy photo session, clients typically receive a gallery of 25-30 images (rather than 60-100 from a two hour session). In my experience, this approach keeps puppies relaxed and owners happy, resulting in more natural, expressive photographs.

Mini Family Photo Sessions in the Surrey Hills
I recently organised mini family photo sessions in Abinger Roughs and Netely Park, in the beautiful Surrey Hills. These sessions are great for families who would like to have a taster of what a family photo shoot might feel / look like, for those who would like to update their family photos, have a busy schedule, or those who would like to gift a mini session - I offer a variety of gift vouchers in my gift voucher store.
Abinger Roughs Family Photo Shoot
The Spring mini sessions took place at Abinger Roughs and Netely Park, a beautiful National Trust walk with ancient woodland and wildflower-rich grasslands. There is a natural play area, great for settling kids into the session and burning off some access energy. Beyond is a birch rich wooded area, a pine tree plantation, ancient beech trees, open fields and hilly vistas - perfect backdrops for a family photoshoot.
Surrey Hills Family Photographer
I organise family mini photo sessions a few times a year, at selected locations in the beautiful Surrey countryside. Each mini session lasts half an hour, it is centred around your family and we enjoy activities you like to do as a family. I will make sure you have a nice time; I will play games with the kids, ask them to run, jump or play hide and seek so I can get a nice selection of images for you to choose from. You will receive a link to a private gallery with 10-15 images to choose from. Three digital files are included in the price of the mini session; these will be sent to you via on line transfer to your email address.

London Dog Photographer | Puppy and Couple Photo Session at Chiswick House and Gardens
Chiswick House and Gardens Photography
The grounds of Chiswick House and Gardens are some of the most picturesque in West London. Chiswick House, one of the most recognisable examples of neo-Palladian architecture overlooks beautiful italian-inspired landscaped gardens. The house was build between 1725 and 1738 by architect William Kent and Richard Boyle, the third Earl of Burlington who rejected the then popular Baroque style in favour of simpler, symetrical style based on classical italian architecture. The house and gardens provided the perfect London backdrop for this couple & puppy photo session.
Puppy Photography in Chiswick
This was a dream photoshoot! A lovely couple, an adorable puppy and a beautiful setting to take photographs in. The youngest member of the team was a ruby six month old Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, a boy named Goji (yes - like the berry!). From my past experince working with puppies, I learned that puppies tire quickly so photographing them requires a quicker pace. We started off with a few portraits of the puppy before moving on to family portraits and action shots. I moved fairly quickly from shot to shot; the only multiple takes I did were walking shots and action shots. Goji was a true champ - not only did he manage to do absolutely brilliantly throughout the whole session, but he did so with a wag in his tail.

I manily work outdoors, where I feel I am in my element and where dogs enjoy playing, running, walking and doing all the things dogs like to do. Richmond Upon Thames Wedding Photographer | York House Wedding
York House Wedding Venue | Richmond upon Thames Wedding
I have been incredibly lucky over the years to have photographed several weddings (and a couple of music events) at York House in Twickenham. Back in the day, when I lived just down the road it was one of my favourite places to visit on a weekend and enjoy the magnificent gardens which stretch all the way to the River Thames. York House serves as the Town Hall of the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames, and is licensed for wedding ceremonies and other events. The beautiful Grade II listed building provides several rooms for wedding ceremonies, certain rooms can be hired for wedding receptions, and the stunning gardens are the perfect backdrop for wedding photography.
York House Wedding
I was contacted by a couple last year and asked if I could photograph their multi-cultural wedding at York House in Twickenham. I was immediately excited by the prospect of photographing a wedding there, and was incredibly pleased when the couple confirmed they wanted my photography services for the day.
An Intimate Wedding at York House in Twickenham
It was a small intimate wedding, with many friends and family members coming from different corners of the world, including Germany, Argentina and Colombia to celebrate their love. It was a gorgeous ceremony, filled with poetry, music, laughter and lots of emotions.
Wedding Portrait Photography
While the guests were enjoying a glass of champagne and a picnic in the gardens of York House, the wedding couple and myself snuck out for a brief moment of quiet, and to take a few wedding portraits. As the wedding took place on the last day of school, the gardens were teeming with excited school children, so certain places like the Sunken Garden were out of question for photography. Luckily, elsewhere was quiet so we settled by the river to take wedding portraits. The River Thames provided a stunning backdrop, so I photographed the couple together and individually at the same location.
The Wedding Dress
The bride wore an intricate lace gown with stunning trim detail and shaped trail. The gown was from Justin Alexander with Lillian West and was purchased from London Bride UK. It was absolutely breathtaking, fitting the bride like a custom-made dress.
The flowers were a gift from the bride’s Argentinian family as many of them couldn't make it to the UK ceremony. The lovely folk from Streets in St Margaret’s created the gorgeous wedding bouquet and other flower arrangements. Streets Florist & Greengrocer is a small family business where I used to buy flowers, as well as fruit & vegetables during my Saturday morning routine in St Margaret’s; thinking of it always brings fond memories of my life in my 20s and early 30s.
This specific York House Wedding was truly special. From the people who attended, to the details throughout the wedding ceremony, to the fun picnic in the gardens, and the wedding couple’s attire. It had it all - class, elegance, joy, laughter, tears and lots and lots of love.

Isle of Dogs Family and Dog Photoshoot | London Family Photograph
This family photo session took place around Mudchute Farm on Isle of Dogs in London, earlier this year.
Outdoor Family Photography In EAst London
It was one of those days when the forecast promised one thing, yet the sky had an entirely different plan. I arrived at the family’s home for their London family photoshoot, and with the rain “apparently” holding off, we decided to head out for a relaxed walk around Mudchute Farm. It is a brilliant place for outdoor family photography in London; wide open spaces so the kids could run wild, the dog could burn off some energy, and we could capture those natural family photos everyone loves.
We began the photoshoot in Millwall park, one of my favourite places for a family photoshoot thanks to its mix of open green spaces and little pockets of woodland. We eased into a few candid family portraits as they walked together, but it quickly became clear that their gorgeous Tamaskan pup had plenty of energy to spare. So, we shifted gear, letting the kids and their four legged buddy chase, run and just be themselves. These playful moments make for the most heart-melting photos, and they set the tone beautifully for calmer portraits later on.
And just as I was getting into the groove with a set of silhouettes, the rain rolled in. Typical London timing! Usually during a family photoshoot in London, I’ll scout out shelter so we can wait out the rain. On this occasion, however as my clients wanted an outdoor & home storytelling session, so the start of the rain was a natural break and we headed indoors for shelter.
A Dog-Friendly Family Photoshoot on the Isle of Dogs
After everyone got dry and had a refreshment, we took a family portrait, all snuggled up on the sofa. The moment of stillness lasted about 5 minutes, then it was time for action (again)! The kids were keen to show off their acrobatics skills, their hiding places, their rooms and their toys, so for the next 20-30 min I followed them around and took photos of them jumping, playing and hiding. The dog was much calmer after the walk and had settled in for cuddles and treats - perfect for more intimate shots.

What Will I Receive After the Photo Session?
After the photo session, I will edit a selection of photographs and upload them onto a private gallery where you will be able to access and view the image for two weeks. You will be able to choose which photograph you would like printed, as your complementary print, and choose any additional digital files, prints or other photography products. These can be purchased at an additional cost. Most people choose to purchase digital files, and some clients choose prints and framed prints which are great as gifts or finished products that can be enjoyed on display at your home. This lovely family chose to frame several prints. I work with a local framer who offers handmade fine art framing in a variety of finishes, with optional mount boards and anti-reflective glass. I would highly recommend framing some of your family and pet portraits as it really lifts photography to another level and provides a beautiful artwork in your home. These photos make me smile every time I look at them. They were taken during a couple & dog photoshoot in East London, back in November, with the sweetest little dachshund who trotted through the session as if he’d been modelling his whole life. As a London Dog Photographer, I’m lucky to witness moments like these where love, connection and the quirks of a much-adored pup come together to create something genuinely special.
An Outdoor Autumn Pet Photography Session
Autumn in London has a magic that is impossible to describe without living it—the kind of magic that reveals itself slowly, like the warmth of a coat you’ve just pulled from the radiator. This day was no exception. The sky kept threatening rain, brooding and dramatic, but somehow we escaped every drop. Instead, the sun pushed through for small bursts of golden light that illuminated the park in rich amber tones.
The air had that crispness I secretly love. I might be a summer girl at heart, but autumn always wins me over with its warm colour palette, gentle textures and quiet atmosphere. Perfect conditions for natural dog photography, especially when a little dachshund is happily leading the way.
We met in a local East London park and set off for a loop around the paths. Moving together like this is my favourite way to photograph couples and their dogs. No stiff posing, no pressure—just a gentle walk, stopping whenever the scenery, the light or the pup’s antics gave us a moment worth capturing.
There were fallen leaves that crunched under tiny paws, tangled branches that framed the couple beautifully, and long grass that turned golden as the sun slipped through. The frames we made there feel warm and real, the kind of photographs that look like memories rather than staged portraits.
Indoors for Cosy Dog Photography
After we’d had our fill of the cold—or rather, after the dachshund announced it was time—we headed back to their home for the final part of the session. Indoor pet photography has a softness of its own, especially when the warmth of home wraps around everyone.

I have been working as a professional family and pet photographer since 2015, after hanging up my lab coat and retiring from the world of cancer research.
English Bulldog Photography
Since starting work as a professional photographer, I have photographed English bulldogs only once. Therefore, I was so excited to be contacted by this senior lady’s owner who wanted a few portraits of her and a few photographs of his daughter with the dog.
English bulldogs have a great face for photography. They are so expressive and can appear grumpy, silly, comical and sweet as quickly as the weather changes in the UK. I wanted to show different facets of this canine’s personality in a set of portrait, action and natural looking photographs.
London Dog Photographer in Bushy Park
We met up in Bushy park in South West London, and spent a couple of hours walking, running, posing, climbing trees and taking photographs. It was an overcast day, lighting was nice and even, and everyone enjoyed making and capturing memories.
Senior Dog Photography
I’ve recently lost both my cats. Looking at the photos of them connects me back to a certain time in their (and my) life, and brings back so many joyful memories. I feel very privileged that pet owners put their trust in me to capture a memory of their pet for them.
