Christening photographer Surrey and London / Jasper's christening
This was a very special day! My dear friends and very first photography clients were christening their baby boy. Naturally, it was an honour and absolute pleasure to capture this special event. It was a warm sunny day back in May, and the ceremony was being held at the beautiful St John C of E Church in Coulsdon. The atmosphere at the church was really easy going and relaxed, and baby J relaxed so much he even fell asleep and slept through the whole ceremony! This particular church had a policy of no photos at the altar during the ceremony (this differs between churches, so always good to ask in advance!). Nonetheless, I was able to capture family moments inside the church as well as group shots with the reverend. Back at the family home, there was more time for relaxed shots of family and friends mingling, and kids playing!
If you are planning your child's christening, and are considering commissioning a photographer on the day, please get in touch for more information about timings and prices. I offer 2h minimum booking which can be extended to cover more of the service/party, depending on your plans for the day. Looking forward to hearing from you!
Children's portrait photography at the Isabella Plantation / Richmond-upon-Thames Family Photographer
I love this time of year when nature goes into overdrive! It doesn't seem that long ago when trees were bare and there were hardly any flowers around. Beginning of May is prime time for flowering rhododendrons and azaleas, and I just love visiting Isabella Plantation during this time of year. Before I moved out of Richmond, I would go a few times a week to enjoy the sights and smells, and try to predict when the 'peak' of flowering would be. Not sure if I cought the peak this year, but I did catch a cheeky little girl playing hide and seek with my camera!

Post Wedding Photo Shoot / London Wedding Photographer
I was delighted to hear back from Paulina and Chris, who I photographed in autumn last year for a set of engagement photographs. This time, they asked me if I could take a few post-wedding photos, which was my first! Due to timing issues at the wedding ceremony, they couldn't have their couples photos taken and so we chose a London location they both liked and headed out on a chilly April afternoon to have a few photos taken. Paulina braved the cold in a stunning dress, with an attitute which would put some professional models to shame, and Chris was a natural in front of the camera. Their attitude and energy on the day made the session really relaxed and fun, and made my job so easy! Thank you to both of you for a fun afternoon, I had a great time and I hope you enjoy the photos. I wish you a lifetime of happiness together!
If you are thinking about having a post wedding day photoshoot, or you are looking for a wedding photographer, please get in touch - I would love to hear from you!
British Shorthair Kitten Photoshoot / London Pet Photographer
I love my job! I was recently commissioned to take photographs of a silver tabby british shorthair kitten called Izzy. She was so delightful it was hard to focus on taking pictures! Sweet, cuddly, playful, cheeky - she had it all! I worked with Izzy's owner to create a set of playful shots and portraits in their own home which is where cats feel most comfortable. At times, it was a challenge containing Izzy's enthusiasm for chasing her toys but eventually it tired her out for a few relaxing portraits with her owner. Photographing pets is one of my passions, and I work across London and Surrey capturing candid moments of our furry friends. If you have a pet and you are thinking of having some professional photos taken, please get in touch - I would love to hear from you!
York House Wedding / London Wedding Photographer
As London wedding photographer, I work across London and Surrey photographing weddings at beautiful and unique venues. York House in Twickenham remains one of my favourite places to take wedding and engament photos. It is a beautiful 17th century stately home serving as Town Hall for the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames. The surrounding gardens are absolutely stunning and provide the perfect backdrop for wedding pictures.
The gardens, which still feature displays from Sir Ratan Tata's ownlership, including the the sea nymphs (or Naked Ladies) statue and the restored Japanese gardens, lead to the riverside. This is the ideal location for a few couples shots after the ceremony, moments away from the rest of the wedding party.
York House is also used for other events such as concerts, musicals or plays. I've been very privaliged to photograph a concert at the Clarendon Hall at York House. Amazing musicians and great memories from the night! Here are a few photos.
Crufts dog photography / Richmond-upon-Thames and London Dog Photographer
I was going through some old photos and I came across a selection of photographs I did for a commission back in March 2016 - from the Crufts! I suddenly realised it is March and Crufts 2018 is nearly upon us! It is being held at the NEC in Birmingham between 8-11 March 2018 so if you are a dog lover or a dog owner, I would urge you to go - it is absolutely fantastic! An amazing venue, an incredible number of dogs, and so much fun to go and absorb some of the atmosphere. Here are a few snaps I took back in 2016, including those of Jango (Spansih Water Dog) who I was commissiond to take photos of. He retired last year as the number 6 Herding Dog in the US, after a successful career as a show dog. I am so delighted I was able to capture his Crufts performance, and to be a part of the show! If you own a show dog, and would like to commission me to take photographs at a dog show, please contact me - I would love to hear from you!
North London Family Photography / Richmond-upon-Thames and Surrey Family Photographer
I am making the most of being snowed in to catch up with my blog posts! I have done a family photoshoot for Mumta and her family back in December, the weekend after another snow storm parts of the country have experienced. The traffic was so bad it was reminiscent of apocaliptic film scences and we had to re-arrange our photo session. It was cold but sunny on the day of our photoshoot, and it was lovely to catch up with Mumta and her family which has grown since the last time I photographed them. The family was moving countries so wanted to have a few photos of their home and their local walk as a memory before they imigrated. It was great fun (although a bit of a challenge!) trying to follow the kids play and take some action shots but I am really pleased with the resulting images. I hope these photos provide a lasting memory for the family, and I can't wait to see them all when (and if ) they come back to Britain! If you would like to enquire about or arrange a family photo session, please contact me - I would love to hear from you!
Ruskin Park Family Photoshoot / Richmond upon Thames Family Photographer
It is wonderful taking photographs for return clients as I get to see their family grow and expand. I photographed Emma and her family on a few occasions before, and this time we arranged the photo session to mark her younger daughter's first birthday. We met in beautiful Ruskin park in Denmark Hill to take some location shots. I passed by the park many times and always wanted to visit but never had an opportunity. The park was named afrter John Ruskin, who was a prominant art critic in the Victorian era and lived in the area. I also discovered that it was used as a location for Pink Floyd's first photoshoot, shot by photographer Colin Prime. The park, with its many distinct sections, provided the perfect backdrop for family photographs. It was a beautiful but very cold November morning when we met, still a few leaves left on some of the branches. I took several family portraits around the bandstand, and then moved around the park to find suitable backdrops for children portraits and action shots (and to keep warm!). After about an hour in the cold, we headed back for a cup of tea and some play time at home. There I captured the girls having some quiet reading time with their dad, playing games and enjoying each other's company. Here is a selection of some of the photos from the day. Hope you enjoy them!

Bye bye 2017 / Richmond and Surrey Dog Family and Wedding Photographer
I met and photographed some amazing people (and pets!) this year. I can't wait to face many adventures and challenges 2018 will bring. Hope you all have a great evening and a fantastic New Year!
Family Photographer London and Surrey / St Day celebration
Today is my family Slava, a serbian orthodox tradition celebrating our family's patron saint, archangel Michael. It is a day spent with family and friends, so to mark the day I look back at some of my recent photoshoots which captured happy families across London and Surrey.
