Putney Wedding Photographer | Stylish Winter Wedding at Thames Rowing Club
I had the privilege of photographing a gorgeous winter wedding at Thames Rowing Club in Putney, South West London.
Wedding Photography in Putney
The wedding day began with bridal preparations in Putney. The atmosphere at the bride and groom’s house was relaxed and joyous, with close family members chatting, sipping champagne and enjoying each other’s company.
The groom, the best man and other friends got ready at the nearby Jolly Gardener’s pub and were having a drink while bridal preparations were happening at home.
It was a lovely winter day - dry, sunny and crisp, Putney buzzing with weekend hustle and bustle. We moved from the pub and walked a short distance to the gorgeous St Mary’s Church which was beautifully decorated - Christmas tree, candles and all - just in time for Christmas.
After the service, we took group shots at the church and moved to the nearby Thames Rowing Club for the wedding reception. This beautiful Victorian wedding venue is situated on the Embankment in Putney, overlooking the River Thames and Bishops Park beyond. It was the perfect venue for this winter wedding, which had everything - style, tradition, heart and most importantly lots of love.
My clients have asked for their privacy and the privacy of their guests to be respected, so unfortunately I haven’t got those heart warming, tear inducing and laughing out loud photos to disply, but they have very kindly aggreed for me to use several photos from the bridal preparations and the wedding reception venue.
