York House Wedding / London Wedding Photographer
As London wedding photographer, I work across London and Surrey photographing weddings at beautiful and unique venues. York House in Twickenham remains one of my favourite places to take wedding and engament photos. It is a beautiful 17th century stately home serving as Town Hall for the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames. The surrounding gardens are absolutely stunning and provide the perfect backdrop for wedding pictures.
The gardens, which still feature displays from Sir Ratan Tata's ownlership, including the the sea nymphs (or Naked Ladies) statue and the restored Japanese gardens, lead to the riverside. This is the ideal location for a few couples shots after the ceremony, moments away from the rest of the wedding party.
York House is also used for other events such as concerts, musicals or plays. I've been very privaliged to photograph a concert at the Clarendon Hall at York House. Amazing musicians and great memories from the night! Here are a few photos.
Surrey wedding photographer / Destination Wedding in Normandy
I photographed Alexia and Mark during their engagement photo session in central London. It was a gorgeous sunny autumnal day which we spent around Regent’s park and by the River Thames. You can see photos from their couple photoshoot in London here. I was so delighted when they asked me to photograph their big day, at a destination wedding at Le Hommey in Livry, Normandy.
Normandy was the perfect destination for a wedding. It has beautiful countryside, charming villages and so much history, so guests have plenty to do in between wedding engagements, or they can prolong their stay and make a holiday out of it! For me, it was the first time in Normandy and I thoroghly enjoyed visiting small villages, D-Day beaches and driving through the countryside. Here are a few photos I took on the way to the wedding, and on the way home.
The wedding ceremony was held at a village hall; an intimate ceremony attended by family, witnesses and closest friends. It was an emotional, warm ceremony and a prelude of what was to come on the day of the wedding reception.
The wedding day started with bridal preparations and bridal portraits at the family home. After we’ve finished with bridal photography, I left to go to the reception venue where the groom was waiting and the guests were gathering. The setting was lovely - an old barn conversion with lots of land around and its very own private lake. The wedding party was set in the shaded area overlooking the lake, where bride and groom exchanged their wedding vows and heard readings from their family and friends. One of the highlights for me was Alexia’s grandma singing a French song with everyone joining in celebration. I love those little personal touches! It was a really fun wedding with family and friends arriving from all corners of the world - everyone made it and had a fantastic time, including myself. Many many congratulations to the happy couple - I wish you happiness, love and good fortune in years to come!
As Surrey wedding photographer, I work across London, Surrey and the south east, and travel all across the UK and abroad at an additional cost. If you are planning a destination wedding and would like to discuss photography for your big day, please contact me through my website, email at info@minamilanovic-photography.com or call me on 07793 677 867. York House Wedding / London Wedding Potographer
I was so pleased when Vickie and Paul asked me to photograph their intimate wedding at York House, Twickenham. I got to know Vickie quite well over the course of our Bump to Baby pregnancy photo sessions (see post from Nov 16) that it felt really special to be a part of their wedding. York House is a stunning venue where I photographed before on a few occasions, but to photograph a wedding there on one of the most beautiful days of the year was a real treat! I hope you enjoy these few photos from the day.
