London Dog Photographer | Puppy and Couple Photo Session at Chiswick House and Gardens
Chiswick House and Gardens Photography
The grounds of Chiswick House and Gardens are some of the most picturesque in West London. Chiswick House, one of the most recognisable examples of neo-Palladian architecture overlooks beautiful italian-inspired landscaped gardens. The house was build between 1725 and 1738 by architect William Kent and Richard Boyle, the third Earl of Burlington who rejected the then popular Baroque style in favour of simpler, symetrical style based on classical italian architecture. The house and gardens provided the perfect London backdrop for this couple & puppy photo session.
Puppy Photography in Chiswick
This was a dream photoshoot! A lovely couple, an adorable puppy and a beautiful setting to take photographs in. The youngest member of the team was a ruby six month old Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, a boy named Goji (yes - like the berry!). From my past experince working with puppies, I learned that puppies tire quickly so photographing them requires a quicker pace. We started off with a few portraits of the puppy before moving on to family portraits and action shots. I moved fairly quickly from shot to shot; the only multiple takes I did were walking shots and action shots. Goji was a true champ - not only did he manage to do absolutely brilliantly throughout the whole session, but he did so with a wag in his tail.
London Dog Photographer
I work all across London and the south East photographing dogs and their owners. I manily work outdoors, where I feel I am in my element and where dogs enjoy playing, running, walking and doing all the things dogs like to do. I have worked with many clients, ranging from families with a dog, to couples with a dog, to single people wanting some photographs of them with their pet, to people only wishing to have photos of their dog. I try to make the photoshoot as fun as possbile for everyone, and I genuinly enjoy creating memories for my clients which they can look back on with fond memories in years to come. Your London Dog & Family Photographer
Hi! I am Mina, I am a family and pet photographer, living in Surrey but working all across London, Surrey and the South East. I love animals and photographing couples with dogs or families with dogs is my favourite type of photography! I consider it a part of my job to not only take photographs of you and your loved ones, but also to create a space where we can enjoy spending some time together, and where you can have a chance to be pressent, to connect with you partner, your children, your dog or your extended family. Capturing that connection then becomes an extention of a good time spent together. If you like my style of work and you would like to discuss your family portraits, please get in touch - I would love to hear from you!
East London Dog Photographer | A Relaxed Couple & Dog Photo Session
Natural, heartfelt storytelling with London Dog Photographer Mina Milanovic
These photos make me smile every time I look at them. They were taken during a couple & dog photoshoot in East London, back in November, with the sweetest little dachshund who trotted through the session as if he’d been modelling his whole life. As a London Dog Photographer, I’m lucky to witness moments like these where love, connection and the quirks of a much-adored pup come together to create something genuinely special.
An Outdoor Autumn Pet Photography Session
Autumn in London has a magic that is impossible to describe without living it—the kind of magic that reveals itself slowly, like the warmth of a coat you’ve just pulled from the radiator. This day was no exception. The sky kept threatening rain, brooding and dramatic, but somehow we escaped every drop. Instead, the sun pushed through for small bursts of golden light that illuminated the park in rich amber tones.
The air had that crispness I secretly love. I might be a summer girl at heart, but autumn always wins me over with its warm colour palette, gentle textures and quiet atmosphere. Perfect conditions for natural dog photography, especially when a little dachshund is happily leading the way.
We met in a local East London park and set off for a loop around the paths. Moving together like this is my favourite way to photograph couples and their dogs. No stiff posing, no pressure—just a gentle walk, stopping whenever the scenery, the light or the pup’s antics gave us a moment worth capturing.
There were fallen leaves that crunched under tiny paws, tangled branches that framed the couple beautifully, and long grass that turned golden as the sun slipped through. The frames we made there feel warm and real, the kind of photographs that look like memories rather than staged portraits.
Indoors for Cosy Dog Photography
After we’d had our fill of the cold—or rather, after the dachshund announced it was time—we headed back to their home for the final part of the session. Indoor pet photography has a softness of its own, especially when the warmth of home wraps around everyone.
We captured snuggles on the sofa, the kind where a sleepy dog melts into their humans, the kind you wish you could bottle up forever. These quieter, slower frames often become favourites because they feel honest and familiar. They’re a little reminder of what everyday love really looks like.
This particular photo session was a birthday gift, which made it even more special. Photography has a way of becoming a keepsake that only grows in meaning over time, especially when a beloved pet is part of the family story.
Why Choose a Couple & Dog Photoshoot in London
London is full of hidden corners, atmospheric parks and cosy indoor spaces that lend themselves beautifully to storytelling pet photography. Whether we’re wandering through a leafy park in East London or capturing gentle moments at home, the aim is always the same: to create photographs that feel like you, your relationship and the bond you have with your dog.
Couple & Dog Photography in London is not about posing for the camera; it’s about documenting joy, connection and the small moments you don’t even realise you’ll want to remember.
About Me
I’m Mina, a London Dog Photographer specialising in natural, heartfelt couple and pet photography. My approach is relaxed and story-driven. I believe the best photos come from genuine connection—not forced smiles or rigid posing.
As someone who adores animals and has photographed dogs of every size and temperament, I understand the joy (and occasional chaos!) they bring. My sessions are planned with patience, humour and flexibility so your dog can simply be themselves. Whether we’re outdoors exploring or curled up at home, I’m there to document the story of your relationship in an honest and beautiful way.

Couple and Dog Photo Session in Greenwich Park
This was a really special couple and pet photo session as it was a surprise birthday present. We arranged to meet early in the morning in beautiful Greenwich park, to avoid the crowds. It was an overcast day in the middle of autumn, so the autumnal colours were on full display - the perfect setting for couple and dog photoshoot. I was eager to capture the bond between this couple and their dog, and also to showcase the stunning backdrop that is Greenwich park.
Couple and Dog Photoshoot
We started the session by taking a few formal portraits on the steps. I use the first 5-10 min of the session to assess the overall energy of the people and animals I am photographing. If everyone has calm energy, we can take it easy and do quite a few sitting down shots. If the energy is on the opposite side of the spectrum, I would change things around and start the session with action shots. This is particularly useful when a high energy dog, like this cheeky cocker spaniel is one of my subjects. I took a few frames of the couple sitting down, but then quickly moved to action photography.
Dog Photographer Taking Action Shots
Photographing dogs in action can be done in many ways, using slow shutter speed or fast shutter speed, dogs running, swimming or jumping. This little lady was really keen to run so I decided to take a few shots of her running right towards me, tongue out and ears flapping in the wind. I love the resulting shots - they are fun and showcase her high energy and fun-loving spirit.
Family Photography with a Dog
Once the dog had a good run around, it was time to regroup. We spent a bit more time in the park, walking around and finding a few more backdrops, initially in the park itself, then next to the cafe. I have really fond memories of this photoshoot, and Greenwich is quickly becoming my new favourite place to photograph couples and their dogs in.
The Perfect Gift with Pet Photography Gift Vouchers
In recent months, I have been doing more and more couple and pet photography sessions. These sessions are really fun and meaningful as they not only offer a unique way to capture your beloved pet, but also your relationship with it. If you are searching for a unique gift for the pet lover in your life, look no further than pet photography gift vouchers. These tokens of affection not only celebrate the bond between pets and their owners but also provide a lasting keepsake that will be treasured for years to come.
